Direct Response & Client Services Leader

Fundraising programs that raise more — year after year.

For more than two decades I have built and run integrated direct response programs for nonprofits that feed neighbors, champion the arts, and protect local food systems — generating over $50 million in mission revenue along the way.

Executive summary

Strategy, production, and analytics under one roof.

I lead integrated fundraising programs end to end: annual planning, audience strategy, creative direction, production, deployment, analysis, and the optimization cycle that turns one good campaign into a sustained revenue engine. That full-stack view is rare — and it is why organizations bring me in when a program needs both a plan and a pair of hands.

At Citymeals on Wheels I directed more than fourteen integrated campaigns a year supporting over $6 million in annual revenue across a 30,000-donor file, introducing predictive modeling that increased giving by 15%. At City Harvest I oversaw a multi-campaign direct mail program responsible for more than $32 million, building the reporting and data-integrity systems the department relied on for investment decisions.

Earlier, at the Museum of Arts & Design, I tripled membership households to 8,000 during a national rebranding and capital campaign. Since 2019 I have worked as a fractional development and communications officer, advising multiple nonprofit clients at once on fundraising strategy, messaging, and organizational growth — most recently as Director of Development and Communications at Foodshed Alliance.

Across every engagement my constants are the same: clear plans, disciplined execution, honest numbers, and communication that keeps executives, boards, and vendors aligned from kickoff through final results.

Featured expertise

Four disciplines that move fundraising revenue.

Integrated Campaign Strategy

Annual fundraising calendars built from the data up — acquisition, renewal, upgrade, reinstatement, and stewardship mapped across every channel. I translate organizational revenue goals into segment-level plans, package strategies, and realistic projections leadership can budget against.

Production & Vendor Management

Complex mail files, tight drop dates, and zero margin for error. I own schedules, specs, budgets, and proofing standards, and keep printers, lettershops, data bureaus, and creative teams moving in one direction so every package lands on time and on budget.

Donor Analytics & Modeling

Response, ROI, retention, average gift, and lifetime value drive every recommendation I make. My predictive modeling and disciplined segmentation lifted giving 15% on a 30,000-donor file — and gave leadership a clear rationale for where the next dollar should go.

Client & Stakeholder Leadership

Executive directors, boards, program staff, and agency partners all need a different version of the same truth. I run the meetings, write the recommendations, manage competing priorities across concurrent engagements, and keep every stakeholder confident in the plan.

Your next campaign deserves a strategist who also ships it.

Whether you need an annual plan rebuilt, a mail program stabilized, or a seasoned leader on your development team, I would welcome the conversation.
